Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Monday’s session with declines on most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s session with declines on most indices, and the turnover reached 11.66 million lei (2.34 million euros) after 45 minutes of trading.

The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a 0.30% depreciation, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on BVB, showed a decrease of 0.27%.

At the same time, the expanded blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.37%, while the benchmark for investment fund returns, BET-BK, depreciated 0.55%.

The BET-FI index, which represents the SIFs (Financial Investment Companies), showed a decrease of 1.29%, and BET-NG, the index for the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded a 0.16% drop.

On the other hand, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was up 0.17%.

According to BVB data, the biggest stock price increases were seen by Armatura (+10%), Ropharma (+6.67%) and Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (+4.17%).

On the other hand, the stocks that recorded the largest declines were Condmag (-6.25%), Romcab (-1.9%) and Lion Capital (-1.79%).
