Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Thursday’s trading session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s trading session higher, with transactions of 3.59 million RON (722,419.26 EUR), carried out in the first 45 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, went up by 0.62%, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares gained, opened up by 0.63%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers advanced by 0.46%, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK, increased by 0.30%.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies was stagnating 45 minutes into trading, and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG was 0.35% higher.

According to BVB information, the biggest increases in the value of shares were recorded by Comelf (+2.61%), Rompetrol Well Services (+2.22%) and Banca Transilvania (+1.94%).

Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Vrancart (-4.14%), Energopetrol (-3.85%) and COMCM Constanta (-2.44%).
