Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Thursday’s trading session in the green

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened in the green on Thursday, with the turnover amounting to 5.2 billion RON (1 million EUR) after 30 minutes of trading.

The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.36%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, also posted an advance of 0.34%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which tracks the 25 most liquid stocks, was up 0.40%, while the benchmark index for investment funds, BET-BK, rose by 0.18%.

On the other hand, the BET-FI index of the Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) registered an increase of 0.87%, and the BET-NG index, which includes the 10 companies from the energy and utilities sector, advanced by 0.26%.

According to BVB data, the biggest gains in stock value were recorded by companies such as Romcab (+6.82%), Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (+4.58%) and Romcarbon (+3.73%).

Conversely, there were declines in the stocks of Sinteza (-3,88%), Oil Terminal (-3,39%) and Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (-3,14%).
