Bucharest stock market opens higher on Friday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s trading session with almost all indices on the rise, and with RON 8.9 million (EUR 1.79 million) worth of transactions performed in the first 30 minutes after the start of trades.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, inched up 0.02 percent, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares advanced 0.05 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers dipped 0.15 percent, and the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK gained 0.02 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies was 1.04 percent down, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG rose 0.39 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market was 0.37 percent up.

According to BVB, the top risers were Electroaparataj (+11.76 percent), Armatura (+9 percent), and TTS (+5.87 percent).

Conversely, the top three fallers were UCM Resita (-13.18 percent), Romcab (-8.23 percent), and Condmag (-7.69 percent).
