The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s session with declines across most indices, with the turnover amounting to 4.25 million lei (844,808 euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a depreciation of 0.05%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the evolution of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, showed a decrease of 0.04%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, fell 0.17%, and the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment funds, dropped 0.07%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded a decline of 1%, while the BET-NG index, which includes 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, fell by 0.32%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.01%.
According to BVB data, the biggest stock value increases were seen in Condmag (+12.50%), Farmaceutica Remedia (+2.05%) and Alumil Rom Industry (+1.39%).
On the other hand, the biggest declines were recorded by Compania Energopetrol (-14.14%), Sinteza (-6.57%) and SIF Hoteluri (-2.08%).
