The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained 9.4 billion RON in capitalization, or 4.77 pct, last week, and the value of share transactions decreased by 39 pct, compared to the previous week, the data published by BVB, consulted by Agerpres, read.
The stock market capitalization reached 206.592 billion RON, between January 2 and 6, 2023, up from 197.182 billion RON, between December 26 and 30, 2022.
Stock transactions generated a turnover of 159.430 million RON, down from 261.806 million RON, in the previous week.
The best trading day at BVB was Tuesday, January 3, when a turnover of 79.416 million RON was recorded, and the worst day, Friday, January 6, with a transaction value of 21.937 million RON.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 12,135.06 points.
Fondul Proprietatea’s shares were the most liquid securities on the BVB’s main segment, with transactions of 44.337 million RON and a price increase of 1.47 pct.
In the top of transactions are OMV Petrom titles, with transactions of 43.122 million RON (2.26%) and Banca Transilvania – with 20.252 million RON (5.92 pct).
The most important increases in quotations were registered by Dafora (+27.59 pct), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+15.85 pct) and Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+15.27 pct).
At the opposite pole, important decreases were recorded by the shares of UCM Resita, with a decline of 15.32 pct, followed by those of Altur (-13.73 pct) and Socep (-6.33 pct).
