Bucharest stocks open higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Thursday, with a turnover of 5.15 million lei (approximately 1.01 million euros) recorded 30 minutes after the start of trading.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, showed an increase of 0.18%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, was up 0.17%.

Meanwhile, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most traded stocks, rose 0.21%, and the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment fund returns, gained 0.40%.

The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of SIFs (Financial Investment Companies), recorded a gain of 0.72%, while the BET-NG index, representing the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced 0.28%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was also up 0.44%.

According to BVB data, the largest share price increases were registered by Aeta (+4.65%), Bittnet Systems (+3.92%), Conpet (+2.87%).

On the other hand, declines were seen in the shares of Medlife (-1.29%), Open-End Investment Fund Globinvest Energy & Financials ETF (-1.04%), Patria Bank (-0.96%).
