By investing in young people, we invest in Romania, says Senate president in National Youth Day message

The young generation is the one that will decide tomorrow’s Romania, which is why National Youth Day is one in which thoughts go to the future, Senate president Nicolae Ciuca said on Thursday.

„Today, on National Youth Day, we celebrate those who are at the beginning of their journey in life. It is a day to think about the future, because it is the young generation that will decide tomorrow’s Romania. The decades to come will be defined by the preparation and opportunities of today’s young people, but also by the problems and challenges they have to face now,” Ciuca wrote on Facebook.

He added that when he was prime minister he paid special attention to support and training programs for young people for a smooth labour market integration.

„We have granted facilities to those who want to open a business and we have financed the education system, both in terms of material investments and salaries. Any politician who has reached a decision-making position has a moral duty to ensure that young people have the conditions that favour their professional development and harmonious maturation. By investing in young people, we invest in Romania,” the Senate president leader pointed out.
