The Education Committee of the Chamber of Deputies passed on Monday an amendment according to which the „Remedial Learning” programme is to be carried out in the pre-university education units, intended to support pupils with learning difficulties or who are lagging behind in learning, write Agerpres.
The programme is dedicated to pupils lagging in acquiring key components stipulated in the law, those who are at risk of dropping out and/or leaving school early and to Romanian children outside the country’s borders, another amendment adopted by the Education Committee provides.
The „Remedial learning” programme can also be accomplished in cooperation with non-governmental organizations, with entities of cults recognized by the state, with the condition that the involved personnel has pedagogical training, and may include activities for the entire family, to the extent to which they support learning, according to another amendment.
Another amendment passed stipulates that the funding of the „School after school” programme can be made inclusive through non-reimbursable foreign funds or from the budget of the central and local public administration authorities or by the universities, in agreement with the enforceable legal provisions.
