Ciolacu: Romania received a new favorable opinion in the OECD accession process; we are on right track

Published on

Romania received on Thursday the fourteenth formal favorable opinion in the accession process to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the one regarding agricultural policies, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, who mentioned that our country’s efforts are going „in the right direction”.

„This is the second formal opinion obtained this month, after the one regarding corporate governance. We are on the right track, because we have received confirmation that in the agricultural sector, our standards are aligned with good international practices. Minister Florin Barbu and the team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development have done a thorough job. The news received today is also a clear signal that our efforts are going in the right direction, and the objective of joining the OECD in 2026, a status that will bring Romania more investments, is a realistic one,” Ciolacu said in a post on the Government’s Facebook page.
