Russian and American officials are holding talks in Ankara, Russian daily Kommersant reported on Monday, citing a source, according to Reuters, Agerpres reads.

The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Serghei Narishkin, would be part of the Russian delegation, indicated the interlocutor of the Russian publication.

The information appears at a time when Ukraine is celebrating the recapture of the city of Kherson, in the south of the country, the most important success of its forces, after the withdrawal of Russian troops from the area.
