The Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, on Tuesday stated that our country will be able to benefit from an additional amount of 2.2 billion euros for education and professional training, from European funds, through the Education and Employment Operational Programme.
„We have a record budget for education and training in Romania! Today we have received excellent news: our country will be able to benefit from another 2.2 billion euros for education and professional training, from European funds, through the Education and Employment Operational Programme!” Deca wrote on Facebook.
According to the Minister of Education, this amount is added to the 3.5 billion euros already available through the PNRR [National Recovery and Resilience Plan], which makes a total of 5.7 billion euros intended for this field.
„The European Commission informed us that we fulfilled the last condition, which meant the adoption of a strategic policy framework for the education and training system, which allows payments from European funds related to the Education and Employment Operational Programme. I thank my colleagues from the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity and from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects for the good collaboration that helped us fulfill the last condition,” said Ligia Deca.
