The event held in the garden of the Bucharest Elisabeta Palace was attended by 98 young competitors from all over Romania and from the Republic of Moldova, alongside their teachers and parents, the Royal Family of Romania said in a Facebook post.

Now in its 19th edition, the competition has been running since 2006, and was created at the initiative of the Children’s Palace in Craiova and of the Dolj County School Inspectorate, with the participation of the ‘Fratii Buzesti’ National College and the Carol I National College of the Craiova municipality.

The international competition ‘Queen Maria’s Fairy Tales’ stands under the high patronage of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and of His Royal Highness Prince Radu.
