Energy solutions provider Enel X Romania was the business clients’ choice for the construction of over 40 photovoltaic power plants in 2022, almost double the number of the previous year, and which will generate almost 30,000 MWh a year, the company said in a release, according to Agerpres.
According to the cited source, the photovoltaic plants have a total capacity of over 26 MWp, and the investment in such solutions has an average recovery period of about 5 years.
The photovoltaic power plants will generate an annual amount of electricity of almost 30,000 MWh, contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by over 5,400 tons/year. The projects in 33 localities involve approximately 50,000 rooftop and ground-mounted photovoltaic panels with a total surface of over 100,000 square meters.
The installation of these solutions will save the customers almost 6 million euros by cutting the costs of the active grid energy consumption and the costs associated with the power transport and distribution, as well as the contributions for green certificates and cogeneration, the release states.
