Romania’s national team qualified for the round of 16 of the European Football Championship – EURO 2024, hosted by Germany, from the position of winners of Group E, after 1-1 (1-1) versus Slovakia, on Wednesday evening, on the Frankfurt Arena.
Romania are moving past the group stage for the second time, after EURO 2000 edition, but now they managed to finish in the first place.
Slovakia, who also qualified for the round of 16, from third place, opened the scoring through Ondrej Duda (24), but Romania leveled from penalty kick, through Razvan Marin (37).
