The European Commission has officially reimbursed Romania over 168.6 million euros from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF), according to a press release of the Agricultural Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA).

„In compliance with the Declaration of Expenditure for the EAGF, as transmitted by the Agricultural Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA) to the European Commission, on 31 January 2025, European funds representing reimbursements from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) in the amount of 168.652 million euros were transferred to the Romanian state accounts,” the release states.

According to the same source, this amount represents the equivalent of the funds used from the state budget by APIA, in December 2024, to grant farmers final payments related to the 2024 campaign and to make payments for market measures, foreign trade and promotion of agricultural products.
