The National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) chief prosecutor Crin Bologa announced on Thursday that the institution he leads is working on files aimed at committing corruption acts, in which the total estimated damage is over 4.22 billion euros, according to Agerpres.

At the presentation of the stocktaking report of the DNA activity for the last year, Crin Bologa offered some data on the damages and the insurance measures in the files investigated by the anti-corruption prosecutors:

* the damage estimated in the files in progress at the end of 2022 – 4.22 billion euros, compared to 1.65 billion euros at the end of 2021;

* the damage retained in the files sent to court – EUR 247 million in 2022, compared to EUR 144 million in 2021;

* insurance measures during criminal prosecution – EUR 461 million in 2022, compared to EUR 131 million in 2021;

* precautionary measures in cases sent to court – 252 million euros in 2022, compared to 128 million euros in 2021.
