FM Odobescu, at FAC meeting, where agenda includes Russia’s aggression, digital diplomacy, Middle East

Russia’s aggression, digital diplomacy, the Middle East will be the main points on the agenda of the minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminita Odobescu, on Monday, at the meeting of counterparts from the EU member states – the Foreign Affairs Council, which will take place in Brussels, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs in a press release.

The European officials will also have an exchange of views with the president of the European Investment Bank, Nadia Calvino, at an informal working lunch.

Discussions regarding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine will focus on the acceleration of military support for Ukraine, the situation in the Ukrainian energy sector, sanctions, the coordination of EU diplomatic efforts ‘in support of president Zelensky’s Peace Formula’.

Regarding the security situation in the Middle East, it is shown in the press release, the European ministers will address the latest security developments, EU’s support for solving the crisis in the Gaza Strip, as well as the prospects of the political process for a lasting and comprehensive peace.
