Fondul Proprietatea recorded, in the first quarter, a net loss of 5.8 million RON, down from the one shown in the same period in 2023, of 11.5 million RON, according to a report of the company, sent to the Stock Exchange on Wednesday from Bucharest.
At the same time, Fondul Proprietatea reported operating income of 900,000 RON in the first quarter, compared to 13.6 million RON in the same period of 2023.
According to the quoted source, operating income mainly includes gross income from dividends, changes in fair value related to instruments at fair value through profit or loss, interest income and net gains/losses from transactions with financial instruments.
The total value of assets stood at 2.8 billion RON in the first three months, down 4.7% compared to the same period last year.
On March 31, 2024, investments in shares represented 76% of the NPV of the Fund. The portfolio included holdings in 24 companies (5 listed and 19 unlisted), both private and state-controlled companies. The largest listed company is Alro SA (4.5% of NAV), and the largest non-listed company is CN Aeroporturi Bucharesti SA (37.6% of NAV).
Fondul Proprietatea was established on December 28, 2005 as a joint-stock company, operating as a closed-end investment company. The duration of the Proprietatea Fund is until December 31, 2031, and this date can be extended by the AGEA decision with additional periods of 5 years.
