How many diplomats and employees does Russia have in Chisinau // Republic of Moldova under Moscow’s „parity”

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Chisinau is one of the most imposing buildings in Chisinau and since its construction, its size has been a mystery, given the fact that the Republic of Moldova is too small for such a Russian embassy, write deschide.md.

Diplomatic parity represents the equality of the number of diplomats and headquarters of diplomatic missions between two countries that have established relations that are regulated by the Vienna Convention of April 18, 1961, which specifies:

„In the absence of an explicit agreement on the mission, the accredited state can request that this effectively be kept within the limits of what he considers to be reasonable and normal, having regard to the circumstances and conditions existing in this State and the needs of the diplomatic mission concerned”.
