Hungarian PM Viktor Orban to meet PM Marcel Ciolacu in Bucharest on Friday

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will pay a visit to Bucharest on Friday and have a meeting with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

According to the agenda announced by the Government’s Press Office, the two will have talks at the Victoria Palace at 17,00hrs, with joint press statements scheduled afterwards.

On November 22, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu met his Hungarian counterpart in Budapest to discuss Romania’s full accession to Schengen.

The visit to Budapest took place in the context of Hungary’s holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union until December 31, 2024.

PM Orban was in Brussels on Wednesday, where he participated in the EU – Western Balkans Summit, and on Thursday he attended the European Council meeting.

He will also go to Bulgaria on Friday.
