Iasi: Mayor Mihai Chirica and Iasi County Council President Costel Alexe, winners according to the parallel count

Parallel counts of political parties show Mayor Mihai Chirica and Iasi County Council President Costel Alexe as winners in the local elections held on June 9 in Iasi municipality and the county.

Thus, after counting 90% of the votes, Mihai Chirica received 32.6% of the votes, followed by USR Senator Marius Bodea, ADU candidate, with 25.7% of the votes, MP Cosette Chichirău, with 14.5% of the votes, PSD leader of Iasi Municipality, Bogdan Balanișcu – 13.7% and MEP Tudor Ciuhodaru (AUR) – 9%.

For the presidency of the County Council, the partial results after counting 86% of the votes show that the current CJ president Costel Alexe has 34.3%, his main opponent Social Democrat Bogdan Cojocaru has 32.1%, Petru Movilă (PMP) – 13.3%, Marius Ostaficiuc (AUR) – 9.2%.

In Iasi county, the turnout for the local elections was 41.02%. In the municipality of Iasi, the turnout was 34.67%, i.e. 118,849 voters out of 322,580 people registered on the permanent lists, while 3,211 people voted on the supplementary lists.

Most voters are included in the 45-64% category, followed by people over 65 and the 35-44 category.
