The international competition „iMapp Bucharest – Winners League”, the largest video mapping event in the world and the most important new media art project in Romania, organized by the Bucharest City Hall through CREART, brings back the show of visual arts and technology, on September 21, on the facade of the Palace of Parliament, announced the general mayor of the capital, Nicusor Dan.

Mayor Nicusor Dan wrote on Facebook on Tuesday that „iMapp Bucharest” is a member of the International Light Festivals Organization and that in 2020 it won an AV Awards in London, the most prestigious audiovisual competition in the world, in the „AV in Action” category.

„Moreover, being part of the solidarity campaign for peace – Enlightenment, initiated by Borealis – a festival of light (USA) and Maxin10sity (Hungary) together with the participation of 35 visual artists and projected in 75 cities around the world, the competition won, in 2023, a Telly Award, which recognizes the best videos,” said the mayor of the Capital.

Nicusor Dan added that since 2019 „iMapp Bucharest” has evolved into a League of Winners, becoming „the bond of the world video mapping scene”.
