Independent Member of the European Parliament Luis-Vicențiu Lazarus (NI) reacted immediately after the rejection of the motion against the head of the European Commission, whose president is Ursula von der Leyen, stating that almost 200 MEPs were absent.

„Attention!!! Although the motion against Ursula was rejected, I noticed some interesting things!
Firstly, almost 200 MEPs were absent from the big vote!
Then we went from 79 signatures to 175 votes!
There were 360 of them, so basically the number of those who voted against was double!!! It’s a great start! We’ll be back in the fall! This was the last session and the last vote in Strasbourg!!!”
