Romania is ready to work closely with other EU member states to find immediate solutions to recent developments, said interim President Ilie Bolojan on Thursday in a post on X, after his meeting with European People’s Party (EPP) President Manfred Weber.
Bolojan is in Brussels for the EPP Summit, organised ahead of the European Council meeting, where EU heads of state and government will discuss support for Ukraine and the situation of European defence.
„This morning, I met with EPP President Manfred Weber ahead of the EPP Summit to coordinate on key priorities. Romania is ready to work closely with other EU member states to find immediate solutions to recent developments. We must rise to meet the expectations of the people and deliver accordingly – security remains a priority,” wrote the interim president on the social media platform.
