President Klaus Iohannis conveyed on Saturday, in a message, wishes for health, peace and prosperity to all Romanians celebrating Easter, write Agerpres.

„The Resurrection of the Lord brings us together to enjoy the triumph of faith over death and suffering. In these moments of intense spiritual joy, I send wishes for health, peace and prosperity to all Romanian Orthodox, Greek-Catholic, Armenian and Neo-Protestant people in the country or in the diaspora communities”, states President Iohannis in the message sent by the Presidential Administration.

At the same time, he urges Romanians to show understanding, compassion and support to those in need.

„Let the celebration of Holy Easter inspire us to be, with a good thought and a gesture of solidarity, closer to our fellow men in suffering, hit by war or misfortune, affected by the loss of loved ones or the burden of loneliness. Guided by the light of Christ’s love, let us give understanding, compassion and support to all those who need our help. May the Holy Easter strengthen us in faith and hope, guide us further with the light of the Lord’s Resurrection, towards the fulfillment of the common good,” the head of state also said in his message.
