The Social Democratic Party (PSD) obtained 53.24% of the total mayoral mandates, while the National Liberal Party (PNL) – 34.69% of the mandates, and the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) – 6.81%, according to the provisional results presented on Monday night by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).
According to the data resulting from the centralization of 2,760 minutes out of a total of 3,186, the following results were recorded:
PSD – 53.24%, representing 1,469 mayoral mandates;
PNL – 34.69%, representing 957 mandates
UDMR – 6.81%, representing 188 mayoral mandates;
Independent candidates – 1.41%, representing 39 mayoral mandates;
AUR (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) – 1.01%, representing 28 mayoral mandates;
PSD-PNL Electoral alliance – 0.76%, representing 21 mayoral mandates;
United Right Alliance USR – PMP – Forta Dreptei – 0.76%, representing 21 mayoral mandates;
USR (Save Romania Union) – 0.29%, representing 8 mayoral mandates;
PSD-PUSL Electoral Alliance – 0.18%, representing 5 mayoral mandates; (PUSL is Social Liberal Humanist Party)
Hungarian Alliance in Transylvania – Erdelyi Magyar Szovetseg – 0.14%, representing 4 mayoral mandates;
The Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania – 0.11%, representing 3 mayoral mandates;
PUSL (Social Liberal Humanist Party) – 0.07%, representing 2 mayoral mandates.
A number of 10 parties, alliances and organizations of the minorities obtained one mayor’s mandate each.
