The NATO summit in The Hague will take place on June 24-25 and will be the first major international meeting of heads of state and government that the new president Nicusor Dan will attend.
According to the final data centralized on Monday by the Central Electoral Bureau, Nicusor Dan, an independent candidate, recorded, in the second round of the presidential elections, a number of 6,168,642 votes (53.60%), and his opponent, AUR leader George Simion – 5,339,053 votes (46.40%).
The data from all 19,945 polling stations in the country and abroad were centralized. The total number of voters who showed up to the polls is 11,641,999, representing 64.72% of the total number of voters registered in the permanent electoral lists.
