As many as 996 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized in specialized health units, the Ministry of Health informed on Tuesday, write Agerpres.

According to the ministry, 104 patients are hospitalized in the ICU. Out of the total number of hospitalized patients, 115 are minors hospitalized in the wards.

In the week of October 9 – 15, 46 deaths were reported by the National Institute of Public Health – 29 men and 17 women.

One of the deaths was registered in the age category 20 – 29 years, one in the age category 30 – 39 years, one in the age category 40 – 49 years, one in the age category 50 – 59 years, 5 in the age category 60 – 69 years, 16 in the age category 70 – 79 years and 21 in the over 80 age category.

According to the Ministry of Health, 45 of the patients who died had comorbidities and 12 were vaccinated against COVID. To date, 68,455 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in our country.
