Romanian tennis player Miriam Bulgaru qualified, on Friday, in the semifinals of the WTA 125 tournament in Ljubljana (Slovenia), endowed with total prizes of 100,000 euros, after defeating Hungarian Dalma Galfi 6-2, 6-3, write Agerpres.
Bulgaru (24 years old, 201 WTA) achieved the best result of her career, winning after one hour and 11 minutes against a better ranked opponent (25 years old, 141 WTA). Miriam Bulgaru secured a cheque for 5,222 euros and 57 WTA points.
In the second to last act, the Romanian player will face off against Spanish Marina Bassols Ribera (23 years old, 132 WTA), the fifth favorite. The two have met once so far, in 2018, at Sant Cugat, the Iberian prevailing in the round of 16 with 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
