Moment of silence in memory of the martyrs in communist prisons, observed by senators and deputies

Published on

On Tuesday, senators and deputies observed a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs in communist prisons, at the end of the solemn sitting of the Parliament’s two chambers dedicated to the Day of solidarity and friendship between Romania and the State of Israel.

„Because today, May 14, according to Law 127/2017, the National Day of Honoring the Martyrs in Communist Prisons was established, I propose a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs in communist prisons,” the interim speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfred Simonis said.
