Motion against autonomous institutions reform draft, rejected

Published on

The motion of no confidence titled „The Government is faking reform – ASF, ANRE and ANCOM continue to be corrupt, incompetent and malicious institutions, captive to political clientelism and lacking professional governance” was rejected on Sunday in the plenary session of Parliament.

There were 120 votes in favour and one against. In order for the motion to be adopted, a minimum of 233 votes in favour were required.

The Opposition initiated the motion of no confidence in connection with the draft law aimed at improving the efficiency of certain autonomous administrative authorities, such as the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) and the National Communications Regulatory Authority (ANCOM).
