Films directed by Cristian Mungiu, Radu Muntean or Marian Crisan, but also award-winning films of young directors, such as Paul Negoescu, or beginners in feature film, recently noticed by international festival juries – Monica Stan, George Chiper-Lillemark or Stefan Constantinescu – will be presented as part of the New Romanian Cinema Caravan, at the Muranow art cinema in Warsaw, write Agerpres.

According to a Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, after a three-year break, as of Thursday until 26 June, six feature films made between 2020 and 2022 will be screened: „Imaculat” (directed by Monica Stan and George Chiper-Lillemark), „Man and Dog” (directed by Stefan Constantinescu), „The campaign” (directed by Marian Crisan); „Men of deeds” (directed by Paul Negoescu), „Intregalde” (directed by Radu Muntean) and „R.M.N.” (directed by Cristian Mungiu).

With the exception of the film directed by Cristian Mungiu, none of the films presented was distributed in the Polish cinema network, the role of the Caravan organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw being to present to the public and professionals in the area the diversity of current Romanian film creation.

As in the first stage of the Caravan, which took place in Krakow, in May, within the Romanian Culture Festival, the programme also includes a selection of short films: „Amar/Kaimos” (directed by Sarra Tsorakidis, 2020), „Love stories on the Move” (directed by Corina Gabriela Dasoveanu, 2021), „The trophy of youth” (directed by Razvan Oprescu, 2019), „Walk a mile in my shoes” (directed by Laura Georgescu Baron, animation, 2022) and „The Inheritance” (directed by Marian Farcut, 2022).

After Krakow and Warsaw, the New Romanian Cinema Caravan will stop this year in four other Polish cities: Bialystok, Lodz, Poznan and Wroclaw.
