OMV Petrom has completed share capital increase to over 6.231 billion RON

On Thursday, OMV Petrom completed the increase of the share capital by over 560 million RON, currently exceeding 6.231 billion RON, by issuing a number of 5,667,558,723 new shares, with a nominal value of 0.1 RON each, according to a report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, according to Agerpres.

The newly issued shares are available for trading on the regulated spot market operated by the Bucharest Stock Exchange starting Thursday, and the new global depositary receipts are expected to be issued on or around November 3, 2022 and will be available for trading on the main market operated by the London Stock Exchange shortly thereafter, the quoted source said.

On the retail oil products distribution market, the Group is present in Romania and neighboring countries through approximately 790 gas stations, under two brands, OMV and Petrom.

OMV Aktiengesellschaft owns 51% of OMV Petrom shares. The Romanian state, through the Ministry of Energy, owns 20.6% of OMV Petrom’s shares, and 28.4% are owned by individuals and legal entities.

OMV Petrom is the largest contributor to the state budget, with approximately 35 billion euros representing fees, taxes and dividends paid between 2005 and 2021. In the same period, the company invested approximately 17 billion euros.
