Over 100 people rescued from mountains in the last 24 hours

More than 100 people have been rescued from the mountains in the last 24 hours by mountain rescuers, with 22 calls for emergency intervention.

”In the last 24 hours, the Salvamont National Dispatch Center received 22 calls requesting the emergency intervention of mountain rescuers (…) In the case of these interventions, 109 people were rescued. Six of them were handed over to the Ambulance Service or the Mobile Emergency Resuscitation and Extrication Service to be taken to the hospital,” Mountain Rescue Service Salvamont Romania said on Monday on its Facebook page.

Most calls were for rescuers from Vatra Dornei and Prahova and Arges counties.

There were also 36 calls requesting advice and information about various hikeable mountain trails.
