A new festival comes to the fore to the joy of Bucharest residents and tourists. Specifically, the Pakistani film festival is scheduled to take place on October 5. Viewers are thus expected in large numbers to watch some fabulous movies.

The 3rd Edition of Pakistan Film Festival from 5-6 October 2023 at Cinema Muzeul Țăranului, Muzeul Național al Țăranului Român.

The event would formally commence on 5 October 2023 at 1800 hours. During the festival, two of the recent Pakistani films from Lollywood (sobriquet of Pakistan Film Industry) will be screened. The movies are subtitled in Romanian and English. The entry for this two-day event is FREE for all.

“Lollywood” is a multilingual Film Industry that has produced thousands of films in over six languages since 1948. It has a unique characteristic of experimenting with an amalgam of education and entertainment as a means to raise social awareness among Pakistani viewership. Owing to its specific nature and modern technique, Lollywood is one of the leading cinemas in South Asia at present.

Embassy of Pakistan in Bucharest cordially invites all individuals and families to join in the celebrations of Pakistan Film Industry and experience the true essence of South Asian cinema and Pakistani culture.
