Rower Maria Lehaci declared, on Thursday, at the Rowing Night event, that she and some of her colleagues in Paris won the first Olympic title in their career, but she hopes that it will not be the last.

„I thank God that we got to live this day because for some of us it was the first Olympic title, let’s hope it won’t be the last. Now we enjoy this success and we want it to be repeated in four years in Los Angeles,” mentioned the rower.

„My life hasn’t changed at all after I won this medal, I’m the same Maria as before. Maybe I’m a little happier. More fulfilled in fact, because I was happy before,” added Maria Lehaci (former Tivodariu, ed. n), winner of the gold medal with Romania’s 8+1 boat.
