PM Ciolacu: Labour Ministry working on draft for adoption of European minimum wage in Romania

Published on

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu asked Labour Minister Simona Bucura Oprescu to make the draft law on the adoption of the European minimum wage in Romania transparent immediately after the Easter holidays and asked her to establish a clear timetable for dialogue with the business environment and trade unions on this matter.

„Besides investments, another priority is the preservation of the labour force in the country. We are working on a very important draft on this matter at the Labour Ministry, the one on the adoption of the European minimum wage in Romania. I am asking Minister Bucura Oprescu, immediately after the Easter holidays, to make this normative act transparent to the public, so that there is a clear timetable for dialogue with the business environment and trade unions,” Marcel Ciolacu said in the Government meeting on Tuesday.
