PM Ciolacu: The budget will be built on 7pct deficit, 7pct investment

The finance minister will present to the government the limits envisaged for the construction of the national budget, which includes a 7% government deficit and a 7% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) public spending on investment, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Thursday.

„Today, the minister will present to the members of the government the limits for building the national budget. The very clear decision is that we will fall within a deficit of 7% and we will also have the same figure, of 7%, allocated to investment. Taking into account the fact that the nominal GDP will grow this year by about RON 150 billion, with the nominal amount allocated to investment automatically increasing from last year by up to RON 134 billion,” Ciolacu told a government meeting.
