PM Ciolacu: There will be no social democrat on PSD lists who is currently pending trial in a criminal case

Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu on Monday stated that there will be no social democrat on the PSD (Social Democratic Party) lists for the parliamentary elections who is currently pending trial in a criminal case, while he also mentioned that the National Political Bureau of the party is set to have a sitting on Tuesday.

He answered thus a question from the journalists related to one of the members of the PSD Iasi branch, Cristian Stanciu, who was supposed to be listed for the parliamentary elections before the National Integrity Agency declared him „incompatible.”

„The only thing I can tell you for sure is that tomorrow [Tuesday – editor’s note] we are having a meeting of the National Political Bureau and I can officially inform you that no one will feature on the lists of the Social Democratic Party who is currently pending trial in a criminal case. And that’s for sure,” said Ciolacu.

The head of Executive paid a visit on Monday to he construction site of the Iasi Regional Emergency Hospital, accompanied by the minister of health, Alexandru Rafila.
