This year Romania will definitely join Schengen on land, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

„We went, we solved the Schengen matter, after a failure of the former prime minister, maritime and air, and by the end of the year we will close the land Schengen,” said Prime Minister Ciolacu told Romania TV private television broadcaster on Thursday evening.

He voiced himself confident that this decision will be reached by the end of the year, when asked if he had any guarantee that the Schengen issue will be closed for Romania this year on the land side as well.

„Yes, this year Romania will certainly enter Schengen on land,” said Marcel Ciolacu.
