Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu will pay his first visit to Brussels since taking office as Prime Minister between 31 August and 1 September 2023, on which occasion he will hold talks with senior European officials about the reforms undertaken through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, write Agerpres.

The prime minister will meet European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, European Parliament president Roberta Metsola, European Council president Charles Michel and director general of the European Commission’s SG Recover (Recovery and Resilience Task Force) Celine Gauer.

„Romania is politically and economically stable, has the second highest economic growth among EU member states, strongly supported by foreign direct investment. We will maintain the dynamics of the Romanian economy and investor confidence through the reforms we make in essential areas. These reforms are assumed both through the Government Programme and through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which shows the firm determination of the Romanian Government to implement them with the support of European partners and for the benefit of Romania and Romanians,” prime minister Marcel Ciolacu said before his visit to Brussels.

On 1 September, the head of the Romanian Executive will pay a visit to the Queen Astrid Military Hospital in Brussels, where two people injured in the Crevedia explosions were transferred for treatment.
