Poll: More than 85pct of Romanians expect Romania to face economic problems in the following month

More than 85% of Romanians expect Romania to face economic problems in the coming months, shows the Informat.ro – INSCOP Research Barometer conducted over May 26-30, 2025.

According to the sociological research, when asked whether Romania is expected to face economic problems in the coming months, 85.9% of those interviewed answered yes, 11% answered negatively, while 3.1% – do not know or do not answer.

The Informat.ro – INSCOP Research Barometer is a monthly opinion poll conducted by INSCOP Research at the behest of the Informat.ro news platform in partnership with the Strategic Thinking Group think tank.

The data were collected using the CATI method (telephone interviews), based on a questionnaire. The volume of the simple, stratified sample was 1,150 people, representative of significant socio-demographic categories (sex, age, occupation) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 and over. The maximum allowed error of the data is ą 2.9%, at a confidence level of 95%.
