President Klaus Iohannis on Friday signed a decree on the decoration of the president of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Milos Vystrcil.

The high Czech official received the National Order „Romanian Star” to the rank of Grand Cross.

According to the Presidential Administration, the decoration is bestowed as a token „of high appreciation for his exceptional merits in the development of the political-diplomatic cooperation relations with Romania, for supporting democratic, European and transatlantic values in foreign affairs, as well as for strengthening bilateral dialogue between Romania and the Cezch Republic.
