President Iohannis: Romanians want to be defended and they are defended by NATO

Romanians want to be defended and Romanians are defended by NATO, President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday told a press conference, after participating in the B9 Summit.

„For us, in Romania, it is extremely important that NATO’s deterrence posture is very strong and the defence capacity is total,” the head of state said.

Iohannis said that he discussed the importance of the Black Sea at the Summit.

„This war is being fought in the Black Sea area, in no other part of the world,” said the head of state.

The Black Sea „is vital for the security of the Euro-Atlantic area,” President Iohannis also said.
