Presidential election Moldova/Iohannis: Congratulations, Maia Sandu, the Romanian people is celebrating alongside your people

President Klaus Iohannis on Monday morning congratulated Maia Sandu for her victory in the presidential election in the Republic of Moldova.

„Congratulations, Maia Sandu, for your historic victory! The Romanian people is celebrating alongside your people this victory that irreversibly places your country’s destiny in Europe.

After counting 99.68pct of the votes, Maia Sandu received 55.35pct of the votes, while her counter-candidate, Alexandr Stoianoglo, got 44.65pct, according to the website of the Central Electoral Bureau of the Republic of Moldova.
