The president of Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), Kelemen Hunor, said on Tuesday that if he reaches the second round of the presidential elections, it is as if he won, because he „starts from the bottom”, being a candidate who speaks about the real problems of society and who tries to offer pragmatic solutions.
Asked, on Pro TV, if he thinks he will become the president of Romania, Kelemen Hunor said that it depends on the vote of the citizens.
„We all have the same chance. I am relaxed, I have nothing to lose, I talk about the real problems of society and I try to offer pragmatic solutions in the medium and long term, because these issues cannot be solved overnight. If I get in the second round I win, because I start from the bottom. If I manage to reach the second round, it means that I have enormous support from the citizens,” said the UDMR leader.
According to him, if the voters need a president who represents them and who is the president of the citizens, then in the first round they have the freedom to choose someone.
„In the second round you might vote against someone. If you think that I can represent you, I have a vision for Romania, I have solutions for Romania, then you can rely on me and vote for me in the first round”, sent the UDMR candidate.
