The candidate of the ”Romania Forward” Alliance, Crin Antonescu, says that, as president, he wants his first foreign trip to be to the USA.

„The relationship with the United States of America must be reset. As president, I want my first foreign trip to be to the USA, together with American businessmen who have economic interests in our country,” Crin Antonescu said on Wednesday in a Facebook post.

At the same time, he intends to organize a debate with representatives of the American business community in Romania, at the Cotroceni Palace.

„I will present them with a plan for the overall strengthening of relations with the US,” he says.

In his opinion, ”what is happening now with visas is not our fault.” ”But it is our duty to do more. It is a task that I personally take on,” Antonescu said.
