Presidential2025/ Ponta: I made the decision to run; I have changed a lot compared to 10 years ago

Published on

Deputy Victor Ponta declared on Thursday that he had decided to run for president of Romania and presented, in a press conference, the main themes of his program – „Romania first”.

„I want to confirm that I have made the decision to run for president. (…) People want justice and to be put first. It is time to put Romania first. (…) We have gone through difficult times together, we led the most efficient Government in 2012, which gave stability to Romania. From 2015 until today, I, personally, and Romanians have gone through difficult times in which everything that was bad, for me at least, was a lesson – what I need to improve, what we need to do better. I have changed a lot compared to 10 years ago, I again have the courage and energy to come up with a project, because Romanians have the right to choose their president, not to have it imposed on them, neither from outside the country, nor by a few party leaders, nor by systems, nor by services,” he said.
