Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) Chairman Kelemen Hunor, upon leaving the polling station, said that he voted to prevent Romania from returning to the past.
„I voted so that we do not go back to the past, to move forward, and to avoid a crash landing which, for Romania, would mean going back at least 30-35 years in history,” said Kelemen Hunor after voting.
He urged all citizens to go to the polls.
„I ask all those who are still thinking about it to go vote, because, on one hand, it is everyone’s duty to vote, but more importantly, it is up to us to decide. Let’s not allow others to decide in our place,” added the UDMR leader.
He cast his vote on Sunday at Polling Station No. 143, located in the „Janos Zsigmond” Unitarian National College in Cluj-Napoca.
